No correct answers yet, so time for a clue. A one inch pipe, and a one inch tube will have different diameters.

Is 'tube' the correct term for the cross-section of the 'hole' and 'pipe' the correct term for the length?

Then one must refer to I/D and the other to O/D? Dunno which is which!

This has to be it. I'd say that a pipe is measured on the internal dimensions and the tube on the external ones. Based on the fact that a pipe has something flowing through it so the internal dimensions need to be known, whereas a tube doesn't. Which would probably make the correct term for a tube of Smarties a pipe of Smarties.

I claim jet lag; I probably knew it but couldn't dig it out in my sleep deprived brain! Good question anyway.

All of them ;) But assuming you mean trains and people, then London, Newcastle, and Glasgow have them, as I have been on those, not sure if there are any others.

Allandwf got 3 out of the 4. Do you want to set the next question.

I will give you a little brain teaser to keep you busy while we wait for the next question.

Which is the only property on a standard UK monopoly board which contains all of the letters in monopoly in the property name ?

Allandwf's will be the main question. The Monopoly question is just for fun while you wait. I will post the answer up later today.
