Haven't heard those ads - we must listen to different radio stations!

A box jellyfish has 24 eyes, which is not the largest number...

A compound eye is still a single eye, just with many many lenses etc.
The jellyfish sounds like a good guess.

Eye'm loving all the eye jokes, and when eye see the right answer, eye will be happy to say "Aye, Aye"....

Some other fun facts, but not the right answer..

Bee's have five eyes - two large compound eyes, and three smaller ocelli eyes...
A Preying Mantis also have five eyes, whereas spiders have eight eyes - one for each leg (apparently!)
Box jellyfish have 24 eyes - and four different types of eye.
Box jellyfish also have over 60 anuses! (is the plural anus, anii, or anuses???)

Emerged from my shell to suggest giant clam.

This is very close to getting me to say "Aye, Aye", but not quite.

There are some giant clams which can have thousands of small "eyes" dotting the edge of the mantle. However, the "eyes" of a giant clam are really just like a pin-hole camera, and are relatively simple photoreceptors, with no separate lens, retina or reflector... as such it's not the answer I was looking for eye'm afraid...
