In which case it was the GT40s when they finished 1-2-3. There was something about this in the recent documentary - for the life of me I can't recall the distance though.

Very impressive knowledge - it was the GT40's. Let's see if anyone can get close to, or knows, the distance...

Correct - I think the official distance was meant to be about 20 meters, as at the finish, Ford decided to stage publicity photo between Miles/Hulme (1st) and McLaren/Amon (2nd) with the No. 5 GTO following in third place as well. According to witnesses, McLaren left a small margin to Miles and it was expected than Miles/Hulme will be declared winner after the examination of the photo finish.

However, the ACO declared the McLaren/Amon (2nd place) car had won the race, having covered more distance in 24 hours, as it had started the race several places behind the Miles/Hulme car. The ACO estimated the difference to 8 meters.

Navcorr - over to you I think... I'm going to try and find a copy of the documentary to watch...

Well worth a watch.

In the absence of anything motor related that springs to mind how about a picture round. Visual recognition - this well known actor portrayed the first virtual reality TV personality in the mid 80s. The name of the character he brought to "life" please.

Decided to stay (at the Distillerie) and explore as a base.
Toute agreeable.

Someone else can take the lead as my brain says that I'm on holiday

Okay - now I'm beginning to get jealous

Very nice idea and a charming venue. Can recommend a trip out to Montpeyroux - the Larzac wines are superb value. Plus a rather pleasant trundle along the D32 - particularly as you turn off the Montagnac road. There's a lovely little bistro in Gignac - La Table d'Emile. Perfect for a lunchtime entrecôte under the trees. Its where the locals go. Going the other direction, and if you're feeling adventurous, a trip to Roquebrun is nice. More of a driving road but you can always go the Beziers route instead. Auberge S'Hubert is tranquille for lunch. Or if a picnic is the order of the day the butcher at the end of Pézenas high street is superb. The rabbit pate is wonderful.

In that case over to Allandwf - that must've been a photo finish in any case.
