This place is six miles from Newmarket, at Newmarket Upper School in the 70s we had a rather rotund lady who taught Social Economics. The conversation use to go “what lesson you got next?” “Social Economics with Six Mile Bottom”

Hey, don't knock the Austin 100 mate. :)
That was my very first car. I inherited it from my Granddad (when he passed away).
Agreed - my first car was an Austin 1300, had no problem keeping up with mates with mini 850 / 1000……. Plus much more room in the back in which to fully enjoy one’s youth ;)

My 1st car was a MK3 Cortina, those windows saw some steam :D

I was down a country lane in a field gateway when she said" sto, I can hear something"

She was right, so could I , it was a load of cubs and scouts on a night hike, about 30 of them , all of them banged on the roof as they walked past

That was the end of that.

It's amazing what you can get up to in the back of a Mini. My first car was a Mini... ;)

That's not far from me. It is predominantly a one estate village and I think the owner of it also owns the pub, the Jack Russell. The number plate used to belong to Fiona Richmond....
Its owned by Simon Kidston. Don’t think he owns a pub.
