That was my very first car. I inherited it from my Granddad (when he passed away).

My brother and I bought a dark green H reg Austin 1100 for £30 in a pub. We changed the master cylinder on my mate’s lawn and I took it to uni in Liverpool. The scousers loved it - it was broken into so many times I ended up having to start it with a screwdriver. Learnt to remove the rotor arm every time I parked.
I had two cats - one used to perch on the raised section where the exhaust passed through and t’other sprawled on my lap. Great memories- thanks Phil.

That was normally the case but with motorbikes Phil.
I wish I'd took a load of photos, late 70s/ early 80s, but two things put me off, cameras were cumbersome on a motorbike to cart about and also when I did pick my developed photos up from the chemist after the 2 week wait, the majority hadn't come out.
