Enz,

Respect for the TVR 350 - may mate used to have one as a daily driver. He would drive it in the day and fix it in the night. Nearly made him bankrupt in just under 6 months. He let me have a go just before he sold it and I'd never driven a rear engined car before - let alone one with a bit of poke. You should have seen my mate's face as I was power sliding round corners :)

BTW - what is that pose you are striking in front of the 924? Is that "Blue Steel", "Le Tigre" or "Ferrari"? (http://www.wikihow.com/Do-the-"Blue-Steel"-Pose-from-Zoolander)

Now the 420 SEAC was the one which would kill you I think!

Here are my last two:

968.jpg
Loved that 968 - current owner said he call me if he ever came to sell it.... Nearly 200k on the clock when I sold it.

996.jpg
996 broke down in Italy (water pump - should have got a 993!) - it was never going to last after that...

Thanks Dem, Andy and Adam...:D

Si - the 350 was great fun...lots of poke and a plastic body...
big heavy lump at the front and no weight over the rear wheels made it quite twitchy,
but I loved it like that...I bought her new from Giles Cooper in Barnet,
I can still remember as if it was yesterday driving out of the showroom in Oct '87,
roof down, big grin on my face.
I did have a few issues, mainly with the pop-up headlights, and I had the wilton carpets
replaced at least twice due to ingress of water...
I would have another one without hesitation :D
Regards,
Enzo.

Enzo,

My mate's 350 also had problems with the pop up headlights. He had to drive it for a week or so with one headlight up and the other at half mast - so it looked like his car was either winking or acting all coy.... Water ingress - all part of owning a soft top. Lots of parts for the car were from Fords / Citrons etc if I recall. However, the Rover v8 was so loud! Awesome cars. I don't think you would be able to sell a car like that anymore due to EU safety regs...... such a shame about TVR!
