I was going round a corner and discovered that it was a little tighter than expected. Understeered and made contact with a curb, both outside wheels. Best case scenario I need one new front wheel, refurb at the back, one new tyre and geometry. Car felt fine after, but can't say for certain nothing else was damaged.
If there are no other problems then I'd chalk this up to experience, get the work done and continue to enjoy the car in the long June evenings. But if I've damaged the suspension I guess I could be looking at £3.5-5k total or more and that would make it economic to claim and lose my no claims bonus.
Do I need to tell my insurer on Monday morning? Really don't won't the car out of action for no reason. But I suppose I can't send the car to a specialist to inspect the damage first?
