What carat are they? Maybe a group purchase.

You aren't averse to mods - did your aerofoil dip itself ;)

The steering wheel looks great. I had a carbon one in my my GTS, but that's much nicer. Good mod.

That heel plate on the other hand, just does not suit the car at all.

Interior looks great, wish I had the money to do something like that, where are the mats from? I need some new mats but want them in red to match the carpet

Looks fantastic Iain and I know the pics won't do it justice, the wheel is the best one I've seen well done with that, can't wait to see the interior complete, I'm very happy with mine.

I agree in some respects- it's a shame the trident and MC logo aren't visible as they are the key bits.
TBH I only went for the heel plate for practicality over cosmesis... as the old one had a hole there.

It is a little annoying whilst driving however so I may get it removed.passenger side looks better without

Autostyle mate -

I was impressed with them. They can do any colour, and have nice versions of the Trident and MC logo set up.

I think red mats will look great in your car. Your interior sets the car off nicely. They are only 80 for the set so good value IMO

IainW - came on here after a whilst and boy oh boy you are pulling out the wallet now lol :D

With all the money you are spending on this car did you not consider getting yourself in to an MC Stradale 4 seater which are now around the £70k mark? As we discussed earlier all these mods are "for you" and it is unlikely you will fetch a premium come resale time where as with a Strad chances are it may even appreciate!?

I think £70k is a little ambitious for a 4 seater which started in 2013, the lowest I have seen is low 80s?

Late £70k's should get you into an early 4 seater, mid £80k's a 14 still under warranty.

A friend bought a 4 seat white Strad around a month ago and paid £73k private. The car appeared on pistonheads for £76k and happened to be 6 miles from his home. He viewed and bank transferred and had the car the same evening! Personally I did not like the interior - it was blue alcantara but nevertheless still a bargain.

I will be getting myself in to a centenary edition when the prices come down a little as they are lovely cars!

I just love the car and wanted to make it right for me. If I move to another car in a couple of years it's unlikely to be a Strad - I just don't see it being worth an extra 30k although beautiful cars. Same thought process as you had I think?
The move isn't imminent so I just wanted to enjoy this one as it is... I can take the Steering Wheel with me. ( I drove it for the first time yesterday and it really feels like a different car with the new interior) - so I drop a couple of k's into the alcantara trimming, which I just enjoy in the mean time and will help come resale. Its fully specced otherwise so just makes it more personalised.
I had this discussion yesterday with a friend who has a 120k+ range rover. In terms of the money you lose on a brand new car vs personalising / looking after a loved used one there is no contest.

PS: Saw a 458 yesterday in a showroom - what a gorgeous car! Are you enjoying it? Any videos / interior photos to upload? I bet the carbon interior is to die for.

PS: Where did the Lambo Appear From?! Can you come and give a 'careers' talk to my junior doctors as with all this contract dispute, many of them are looking for a new path.

Mid life crisis my friend - just hit 40 so thought it was now or never - I promised the wife I'll be a good boy after I'm 41 but that probably means I'll just keep one of them lol

The Huracan was a bargain I could just not refuse - was a friends car and he was being offered a ridiculous trade in against an Aventador and he was so ****** off with the dealers offer that he decided to let me have it instead so their loss was my gain! I also have a Mclaren 688 HS MSO on order but I think I may just flip that for a profit after a few months of enjoying it as looking at the 675LT prices are bonkers - eeks hope Mclaren don't see this post as they won't sell me it
