I had a cheery red 928, and every time I looked at it, I regreted the colourNice car, but couldn't live with the colour.

Urby will , he's got too much of the damned stuffYou can't take it with you
Very slowly...Urby will , he's got too much of the damned stuff
So what do we know about this car in Cyprus that's just started on CollectingCars, is it any good? ... I suppose the drive back could appeal, now a couple of potential buyers seem to be emerging for my 3200 GTA.The drive back would be quite something
Is the market softening?Unsold at £26,500 high bid https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2003-porsche-911-996-turbo-22
Autobox and the 996 Turbo isn’t the most exciting to drive other than in a straight line.Is the market softening?
Also, a wise man once said, "you can't it with you." And I say truer words have spoken! You can't take it with you
Porsche sold far more auto box cars (labelled Tiptronic S) than manual cars.Autobox and the 996 Turbo isn’t the most exciting to drive other than in a straight line.
They sold a fair few of them n’all
A good friend is selling an absolutely mint manual one. He is OCD so has spent c10k having it perfected over the last 2 years and now wants a 360. it has forged wheels, Pss9 or 10 dampers, 997 brakes, mild remap (500+ bhp) and lots of leaking rubber replaced (many hours tracking that all down). I think he wants 38k but can confirm if anyone interested on here.Porsche sold far more auto box cars (labelled Tiptronic S) than manual cars.
I drove an auto 996 Turbo. The torque marries well with the auto box. But I was glad to get back into my 6-speed manual 996 Turbo. Riflebolt gear changes with the 997 short-shifter that reduces throw by 30%. Wonderful.
Probably explains why there is a £5k -£6k premium to be paid for a manual 996 Turbo. But choose wisely. The manual box is not without problems. Very expensive problems at that.
The beauty of the manual box found in the GT and Turbo cars is that it's an evolution of the old G50 box and very similar to the one found in the 993. It's a racing gearbox, designed for ease of swapping ratios at the track if needed. The other beauty is that unlike Ferrari/Maserati, Porsche is still very good on the spare parts front. Yes, gear sets have gone up, but they have basically kept up with the value of the cars... As a friend of mine once said, he found repairing the gearbox on a Iveco more of a challenge, than helping me replace the worn out shift fork fork and sleeve for 3d gear on my GT3...Probably explains why there is a £5k -£6k premium to be paid for a manual 996 Turbo. And the steering wheel installed incorrectly again.CANBUS error before you even start

Runs and drives so what is the concern?
Primary Damage: MINOR DENTS/SCRATCHES. - find one without any !!

Opening price of five grand. Low mileage, but servicing is, er, ‘interesting’
I’ve just bought something with a fair financial investment on top, otherwise if it stays around the opening bid I may yet be tempted…That does look very interesting indeed if you’re after a manual 3200. Can’t see end float being a problem with that sort of mileage and history. Not a bad colour combination either.
