2. Bring the family it's a great day out...More than just the track......My boys and wife will be there.......
3. As many as you want...and yes you can just go off for a wander when every you want. You do not have to stay on track all day.
4. Ends around 4
5. The only thing you need to bring is a tin of something for the food bank and then just money to spend on the day. It cost £5 for a ride in the cars there if your kids and wife whats to ride in some very tasty cars or drive a bus or lorry or even a JCB....plus there is a George clothing sale with everything £1.....plus a rally course, fair ground and loads more.

My (then just) 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend came for the day, as well as Susie.

Only saw the kids briefly during the day, when I found them queuing for a ride in a non-Maserati supercar! They had done loads in the day, and certainly weren't bored. Susie disappeared to drive a huge truck, another bucket list tick item for her :)

Very relaxed day, and absolutely aimed at the family.

Hinckley Island Hotel. Use the code and a twin room with breakfast will cost you £55 for the night.

I can also vouch for a wife & children who thoroughly enjoyed the day and are very much looking forward to this year's event. There's no pressure to keep driving and plenty of time and opportunity to have a look around, get food etc.

Thanks v much for all the answers - exactly what I wanted to hear. I've booked a couple of rooms for the family in the Hinkley Island Hotel for the Friday night before. All set now - can't wait!

If your hotel isn't far away then come and join us for a pint and meet a few people ahead of the day. I guarantee it won't be a typical SM session!
given fiona coming too I will have a designated driver so you may well find a kilted man in the bar waiting to be bought a drink ;)

Definitely coming but in 1 car only! Hotel booked for the Friday night, car serviced, brakes still sh*t, raring to go!!
Andy, Lisa is coming so if you wanted her to help with the gate then drop me a line as Mr & Mrs Catman not available, which is a great shame.
Cheers Blu

Hi Blu, that would be great it Lisa could help on the gate as we are getting a bit thin on the ground. I just need to get a secure tin for the money ... Everything else is provided.

Insurance: Just to say that I followed Chrisbassett's lines perfectly and they did the trick. My company, Privilege, said no problem and they would be making a formal record of their agreement in my records. I think everything is covered now.
Just need to order a dry day...

lucky you........being insured by tesco they just laughed at me down the phone when I told them asda was organising this:battered:........so I had to arrange a 1 day insurance through morris insurance.......not too expensive but will be shifting over to probably flux to save this hassle next year.
