Always better to wait for what you want unless you don't mind spending extra, but people weigh up their options and then make a choice, hence why an indie inspection ...ie its a reality check.

But sellers of mediocre cars that are rare, know someone will come along without the necessary knowledge and buy it.

I agree....if it needs a service you can get that at a reasonable price these days from a indi....I had the nose painted on the M3 for £300 at my body shop and very pleased with it.....I really don't think this is going to cost more than 4k if that to bring back to health...That's still a cheap GS.....but until its gone through an inspection you really don't know.....Can not see it costing 7k to put right though.......

Tha'ts low miles these days though Pete...I do get though that People still have a thing about these cars with more than 45k on the clock but it is 10 years old so 60k is nothing and he is asking 17k for the car when most are 25k and upwards. As long as you go in with your eyes open there is no reason why this car couldn't be a good buy. Unless it's f*cked of course....I would have though he has found out how much it will cost to bring up to standard and priced accordingly....

I would prefer a 10 year old car worth 60k on the clock than a 10 year old one with 20k on the clock to be honest....I would prefer to know its been used and all the parts have been moving rather than sat around.

Yes low for ten years but the market shys away from 50k + for some reason...given the chats about this car it is known well and will remain so even after being brought back to a good standard.

I want one I can keep for the next five years and given its use across Europe it will be 100k plus after that...would much rather have one to sell with 80k on the clocks in 2020.

Ps has it gone down again???? Was 18 (17950) when I last looked.

My car is a similar spec and mileage allbeit an LE with full leather and I paid £10k more than what this one is up for a month ago.

I'm with you Matt. It's cheap and provided a buyer understands that it may require a gradual spend, it looks a great buy.
