Hmm.

Hate selling things to the public. Besides have a few things up for sale at the mo and no bites. Upgraded the wife's Horsebox in the summer. Had the previous one up for sale at silly money to clear it from the yard since then. Not a single call. All coachbuilt with full living inc double bed, sink cooker, blah blah, worth about 15, have reduced it to half that. Also a highly successful event horse that my son's sadly grown out of that would have sold 2 years ago for about £25k, is up for under 10k, no sale yet. Buyers market at the mo. Trade in makes it easier I'm afraid

Mark, must be worth putting her on PH even if its for a week.....It's a very desirable car in the right colour......

Are St George any good...They had a high miles GTA for sale before I bought the GTV that I was interested in but they sold it the day I phoned.

They seem so. In fact Craig, that I've dealt with seems like the perfect guy to deal with, now and for the future. Has been straight all the way so far. Would rather take a loss now, to know that I've got someone I can go back to and ask to source the Alfa I want at any given time. His warranty promises to be simple too as all work will be dealt with by Duncan from Alfanet. son has set his heart on the stromboli grey GT he has

That looks nice. There are a lot out there at 150k miles plus on the original engine.

Not such a fan of the 156gta personally, but that's a lot of car for the money

Get it now, Andy...

Nah, couldn't sell my little GTV...Too pretty to swap for a 156 GTA...Plus my wife had a nasty experience when she bought a 156 Sportswagon so we are well off them...

Feel stitched up

Got a call this afternoon from the sales guy, Craig at St. Georges, telling me that when we had the conversation on Saturday re the GT for my Son, it had actually already sold that afternoon, but he could look out for another one for us.

My Son had chosen that one because of the colour combo, Stromboli Grey and Bordeaux leather. We'd been to see it the Saturday before and pretty much done the deal. Not another one out there at the mo. So, whatever. Looks like the GTA's staying for a while after all!

Not that I can teach him to drive in that!

At this rate, it may well be. There aren't any 1.9 GT's out there in that colour combo at the mo that he's set his sights on. Quite rare..... so, if anyone comes across one....?

Not in an urgent rush, but a friend has private land with proper roads, big enough to drive around, even at 60 in places, and practice before he's 17.

Can't do that in the 4200, or the GTA! The Shogun is an auto.
Gets practice in the buggy in the field, as it has a 4 speed box. Has picked up some 'bad habits' though, ie, drifting whilst setting up for the next bend sideways, and 'un-winding', etc!

.... What have I done to him!!?!?!!

What kind of Father am I?! :frusty5:

Now how you feel...The day I picked up my 3200 from Cortese was one of those days...
