You bought a 3200 without seeing it? F*ck me backwards, that's like playing Russian roulette with six bullets or an automatic! If it's a good one, don't forget to buy a slack handful of lottery tickets. Jeez, I've heard everything now. :D

To be fair you could say that about ANY car.
I admit a 3200 might not be the wisest choice bought unseen, but it could have been a cut and shut of any vehicle

Ha ha Bennyd! You are bang on. However, a good friend did view it who I trust more than my own knowledge. Will be having an inspection before paying full amount.

Thank you Alistair. That pretty sums up my expectations.

I have lived with Japanese cars over the hasn't few years (s2000 and legacy spec b) and as great and reliable as they are, they aren't 'special'.

Here's hoping that I don't get burned too badly.

Very wise. I wish you good luck in your quest to join one of, if not the best Marque in motoring.

Not to mention the best model, with classic features, the bonnet vents, the boomerangs, the turbo kick etc etc.
Put a £15k 3200 next to a £80k Jag, Merc, BMW etc and listen the "oooohhhh! Look at the MASERATI!"

Funny you should say that.
I parked next to a Brand new F-Type yesterday.

A dad and his two sons were coming back to their BMW next to the Jag and both boys went "wow, a Maserati!"

The dad said "Maserati's make a proper noise, not like the false noise out of the Jag with its speakers".

So I asked them if they wanted to hear it. Obviously yes was the answer.
I rev'd the engine a couple of times. And the boys were well impressed.
Just after I'd turned the engine off, the Jag driver came back and started his car, and blipped the throttle thinking the boys would be impressed. They just laughed! :rofl5::rofl5::rofl5:

The Jag owner was not impressed. 15k vs 70k. A stunning defeat for the new expensive car.

I bought mine 300 miles away, unseen, in one phone call. I had been looking for month, and this one "sounded" right. Was too. I hope your experience is the same and no mater what it will look great in you garage and will always be a Maserati! Welcome.

Hope all goes well for you. Keep us posted :) I flew down and bought mine, then drove it 520 miles home, thought that should show up any niggles! Still all good four years later.

I bought mine unseen, flew across to Ireland and then drove it back from Colrain to Reading.... Have had to spend a bit on wear and tear items but hey ho... Nothing beats having a mazza outside your house!

I too bought my old 3200GT sold as seen from a private seller, I had to knock it in to shape over the following 12 months though but nothing too drastic...the 20k from new was the clincher!
