Agree re having them any lower. I was all for it but they're already long and low. The spacers halpe full the gaps in the wheel arch and give them impression of around a 1" drop.

I'm getting a quote on custom sports cats and when i have something will check with Benny, the Forum's resident exhaust hooligan, to see if he proposes an alternative. Otherwise I'll check and see if anyone else on here is up for a group buy.

My mate Josh is helping me with the cats as soon as I get mine.

I'll be at Brooklands later in the month so you can check out the sports cats & X pipe combo there.
I would leave the back boxes alone and once the valves are open, they are pretty much un-silenced anyway and once you hear mine, I really don't think you would want any more volume!

I know exactly what yours sounds like as I've been in Mr Beans car in the past at Brunty etc. I was talking rears on Catmans GT not on the GTS which as you say has valved boxes. Mine will get an H pipe and as I said might see if I can get Larini Sports cats to go with it!

I don't reckon I know. He's done 8 Tridents now all different and both my 3200's have had straight through rears. He fitted Stevo's X-pipe too.

Are you talking to him soon, or should I just ping him for a price?

Cheers

I can see the forthcoming trip to Marios getting expensive..

Marios is a purist - he'll do a fantastic job getting your car set up exactly how ity should be, but don't expect him to appreciate too many off the wall mods.

Where did you source the FD spacers from and how much?

Via Noor / Torenno, Phil. He's originally tried to get some from another company in Germany but they dicked him about so in the end he ordered them from FD and they sent them direct. I can't remember what the spacers cost but the import duty was about £110 iirc.

My mate Josh is helping me with the cats as soon as I get mine.

Will he weld in some higher-flow / lower cell-density cats or make up a new set of pipes?

Stuart, I very much look forward to hearing yours.

Very nice Iain, well done. Only thing I would change is the black wheels to Anthracite or Gunmetal - the black wheels are totally lost in all the black bodywork IMHO (We have had this discussion before!). Enjoy in good health. Just remember - adding a £2500 bonnet will reduce the value of your car for future buyers by another £2500 so factor in £5k :) Bodywork modded GTs seem to take the longest to sell on AT and PH. Keep it original and maybe upgrade to an MC Stradale in a couple of years ;-)

More "returning to" Mr C. I don't want to get *quite* as dark as the 4200, though. H-pipe was my idea, but Roberto says that straight through are awesome.

Straight through back boxes only? Leaving the centre resonator in place with no X or H pipe?

I see him a couple of times a week so I will mention it to him. Probably best to get it booked in for half a day and let him work his magic. You would need to choose some tips to go on the pipes or source quad OEM to maintain stock look.

Any bets on the price to get a pair of new front pipes made up with 200 cell sports cats? Similar sort of spec to Larini.
