Shiltech have a yellow Lambo Murc' in at the moment that got parked in a brick-laden ditch at 70mph. Needless to say, the ditch came off better. Something like £20K+ in parts before labour and a full body re-spray as it's 3-part and can't be blended.

OUCH!!

I love my yellow, just as well really.

This very car has been discussed "across the road" as it belongs to a member there. I think it's very much the same as my giallo granturismo

Yellow is such an emotive colour on a car, or so it seems.
I have seen numerous posts on why you should never buy a yellow car, horrid colour, hard to repair etc
But people do buy them, clearly. Otherwise they wouldn't exist on the roads.
I must confess to dismissing the very thought of the 4200 I bought when I first saw it on line. My wife said don't buy it but relented to the extent that "it's your money, do want you want".
When I went to see it I was shocked at how bright the yellow is, and I wasn't sure it was for me. But something kept pulling me back to it. And after a long test drive and several hours of comparing with other 4200's I went home with her; albeit with that slight nagging doubt in the back of my mind.
But, over the following weeks I really came to love the colour. Not only is the Maserati a rare car, but a yellow one is rarer still. I think I have the only Maserati in Shropshire, although there may be one other (silver) hiding away. But I certainly have the brightest, loudest and most elegant and easily recognisable car ever to grace the school run!
And 8 months in and without a single missed beat, I am totally in love. Despite me becoming a Maserati hypercondriac feeling like it's got to break sometime, doesn't it? Every day is a delight, and yellow, red, blue, silver or black (and every shade in between), they are all fantastic cars and we should live the moment, as often as possible.
So race without racism, when safe to do so of cause.

Excellent David...each to his own....plus as in life, depending on a number of things, the more you are exposed to certain ideas/concepts the more open minded, considered you become..

Seeing your car in the flesh did not detract from it one bit as either a car or a Maserati...thought it was fab.....and the car looked good.....!!

Not sure about the gold metallic one in the Swedish Maserati club get together though, nor am I a big fan of green or orange!

Respect!

Andrea, Adam, Frank - Thanks for your kind comments, very much appreciated. Someone's got to have these bright colours and I guess that someone is me for now. Keep saving up Adam, you've still got a couple of years before I will be selling!!

I know this started as a For Sale thread, so sorry for the drift.

Drifting is good David....................especially in a Maserati....:)

We all do have our preferences things we like best....but that doesn't mean the other guy/girls choice is all wrong or all bad!
