Britain s Got Talent to be cancelled in 2021 because of the flu . Just need to get rid of The Voice and that horrendous Masked Singer - can you believe Mo Gilligan is on 100k a show .

Bloody right. FFS Morten Harkett was on it recently!

ITV is a council house channel. They make programs for mongs. They target your average uneducated trainer wearer who hasn't got the brain power to realise that it's all pre scripted. They also don't realise that all these programs are for is extracting £2 per text from their pay as you go mobile phone.

I upset a load of people on tiktok when somebody said, who doesn't like Marvel films

I replied

I don't like marvel films , it's all the same film in different fancy dress

I had a limitless pass so I went to see them but it really is the worst cinema experience, talking, popcorn , and the worst of all

Phone light on, phone light off all over the cinema every 60 seconds, you get the odd one in all films but marvel

Rarely watch ITV programmes because they're a bit lowest common denominator. Thought I'd give Marcella a try – mainly because of my adolescent yearning for Anna Friel – and it was written by the people who made the original Scandi-Noir Bridge. It's well acted but the character development – aside from Marcella herself and Mark the comedy IT guy – is absolutely dismal. Two-dimensional characters, particularly the men. Angry man. Sighing man. Useless man. All the nuance of a lobbed brick. There's one character, called Rav – I feel for the actor playing him because I know he's good, but the captioning (we have it on while the washing machine's on) more often than not has "Rav sighs". That's all the poor git has to play on.

The thing is, the writers know how to do nuanced character development from their previous work. Perhaps it's the audience, then – can we Brits deal with complex characters? Or do we struggle with more than one? Maybe it's an ITV thing.

The good news of the cancellation of some complete trash is completely negated out by the fact I saw Robert De Niro in a Kia advert last night. I mean FFS next thing you know Helen Mirren will be doing Tena adverts

I remember the first time I went to Brazil and I met my brother in law (same age as me). I know this is terrible, snobby, elitist etc, but when he said his favourite film was Transformers I looked to my wife with my 'is he ******* serious?' face and then instantly tried to say something, but couldn't, my face doing an adequate impression of a Windows 95 crash as I desperately tried to say something positive. 'Er, er... er... has he seen Stalker? (Obscure brilliant Russian movie)

Happily awkwardness was blamed on my inability to speak Portuguese.

There has to be balance in the world and my in laws are the ying to yours. They only watch serious films. They’ve never seen Star Wars or Indiana Jones, even the Magnificent Seven is a bit too much action for them. Unless the film either consists of nothing happening for 3 hours in a Georgian manor or the lead character dying at the end they won’t watch it. Tears or boredom are the only options.

Don't watch any of them, therefore I have no clue who Mo Gilligan is...is it a man or a woman? Mo Mowlem or Mo Farah?
