The ones off the Strads? There are two types, early 20011/12 which are great then the later 4 seat Strad ones 2013 onwards which are made of cheese and buckle. Rare things.

Please don’t mention the word buckle… I’ve now replaced two front Neptunes due to pot holes!

Interesting- I think my Strad (2014 #4 seat) had the same wheels as the earlier 2011 cars (visually).

That’s correct Scaf, one version was cast the other forged don’t ask which way round, Zep will know

That’s the one so they are slightly different, so could you get the Mc’s on the 4 seat Strads because everyone I see has the Trofeo on.

From my specification sheet:-

20’’ MC wheels “grafite opaco”

and of course mine is a 4 Seater

Yes Matt, both of my 4 seat Strads had the MCs rather than the Trofeo design. You could choose either on the option list

I think it depends on the part numbers it seems. I bought a set of MC Matt graphite EAP1424793 and they are forged. They are so light in comparison to my Astros its ridiculous.

The brochure seems to suggest that with the MC design wheels, the Matt ones (graphite and black) are forged but the glossy ones and ones with coloured accents are not....Seems strange though.

Yeah - whereas this site states only the Trofeo is forged. https://www.maserati.com/gb/en/ownership/accessories/complete-wheels/granturismo-rims

The chances of one design being available as both forged and cast is zero as far as I am concerned. Even Maserati wouldn't do something that silly.

A good rule of thumb is any lettering in a piece. With forging you cannot have detailed raised lettering, as the material won't flow that way, so it has to be indented. Here is a pic of the part number on a Trofeo wheel:

And here is a MC Design:

Top one is forged, bottom one it cast for sure.

In the blurb about the changes between the 2 seat and the 4 seat it referred to the changes to make up for the weight difference like the carbon bonnet and the forged wheels.
Looking at the brochure though, it’s shown with the Trofeo wheels
