Wiper Linkage

I've lost my wipers!!! I've traced it down to this linkage, where one of the push fit ball joints has failed and just falls off.

Does anyone have any advice on where I could get a new one - or even just replace the bush?

I've managed to Bodge it on using a 'modified' clip from Halfords. It seems to be holding but I'm not convinced... I've ordered a bigger one from askthemechanic.co.uk but really would like to replace the linkage if I can....

I got complacent with my bodged repair on Tuesday night and turned the wipers to max, and then they stopped working again, in torrential rain, in the third lane of the M25 - in the dark! Not pleasant I assure you!

Today l fitted a similar clip from the Internet but I still had to modify it to fit and my confidence in it is still quite low.

I'd really like a replacement link, but don't know where to start!

Just bought a new (old) wiper motor and full linkage from Italy off eBay for £90. Should be here by the end of the week.....

OK, got the new (old) motor and linkage complete. I'm pretty sure it's LHD (obvs!) but the linkages are the same, so I took it off and fitted it to my car. Annoyingly I snapped a couple of bits off the cup when fitting it (it was extremely brittle) but that said it seemed to fit quite tightly - certainly better than the 'good' side of the original link!!! So it's on, it works and it's giving me no drama at all. BUT..... because I know I broke a couple of bits off it I'm still waiting everyday for it to fail on me .

It arrived today and fits PERFECTLY! I've test fitted it on the LHD set that I now have 'spare' and it's as good as new. I've now ordered a couple more of the replacement cups to retro fit the one on the car and the other worn one now on the LHD linkage and then will hopefully be able to sell the LHD one back on eBay.

It seems a little like I'm talking to myself here but hopefully this will be here to help people in the future....... Buy the one of eBay for a Mitsubishi L200!!!!
