Never owned either except of the white panel Van variety , must admit their vans served me well but none of the car designs ever did it for me , i think from the first time i heard that they were cars produced for the masses it kinda put me off as ive always considered myself different and not quite normal (haha) so thats they way i went with cars

Get that Loz but as a 17 year old the masses cars where cheaper to insure...AT that aged couldn't stump up the cash for the more exotic cars......Plus cheap parts were important back then. Don't get me wrong I always hankered after the more of the wall cars even back then.

Seems as the years have gone on insurance became an issue/ consideration as to what car you could afford , but in my day it really wasn't an issue , An Mgb GT at 17 cost me £128 a year with a company called Cloverleaf ( dont know whether there still going ) but they used to be young driver specialists opps have i given the game away hahhaha

Great little pieces of kit Andy , true eighties posers/hairdressers cars , handled pretty well too, there's a race catergory still going for them i believe sprighly things , not much room for extra curricular activity tho , managed it in my MGB GT once, tho it was more trouble that it was worth and anyway she was a basset hound ,

Nice one Loz...I love my trannie :)
Tried Audi for a while.....80.....80 sport and a quattro....enjoyed for a while
Been down bm route......520....525......m5.....not for me :( like shape/performance of newer ones.
Best fun has been in a Mitsubishi sigma......around RAF Fairford.......it can claim fame to holding runway record @148mph on timed runs ! hahahaha
Had so so much fun with this one.
As for 4X4 off roaders and the old hi-lux's love them, especially where we live !

Hahahaha love it Loz....Not that specific when young then Loz.......

There is a young lad by me who has just bought a blue X19..Think it is a later one...He is doing it up with his dad...Always good to see............I loved mine as at 17 it may have well been a Ferrari in my eyes...2 seats/targa top......Most 17 year olds were driving clapped out hatch backs.......
