Which would you pick?

The 2009 car is my previous car!! Nuvola bought the car from Dick Lovett when I part exchanged last month to buy my 458! It's an amazing clean car - owned it for 18 months and no issues to report. Has a new clutch, battery, brakes, steering wheel and a recent service. Bargain hard and grab yourself a good deal but guess this answers your question in the best possible way as to which car to go for! Good luck :)

The 2008 car has been unsold for over 5-6 months - Narrman has had it for ages! Saying that he did try to selll my car on a SOR and was unsuccessful over a 6 month period! Think the market has been pretty slow and is now picking up.

When you see the condition of my previous car and compare it to the other one it's a no brainer - the interior condition on the other one is shocking!

Get MCS old car at least we know the provenance etc. if you negotiate well you will save yourself the depreciation!

Thanks mcs, that's good to know and does sway my decision quite a bit. Looking forward to seeing the cars and hopefully sealing a deal.

12k is very low for a 7 yr old car. Its been used consitently and has a full history I would always go for that one as it will easier to resell. Remember at 50k Maserati's are worthless.

So the opinion of this senior member is that a Maserati with more than 50K on the clock is 'worthless'? - unbelievable comment and a great contribution to undermining the market value of these brilliant but sometimes challenging and expensive cars.

My own 2008 QP Sport GT does have over 50K, and has had over £15k spent on it in the last 2 years to ensure that it remains the beautiful machine that came out if the factory, and is frankly now more new car than old.

It depresses me when I regularly read on this forum about how member car miles are kept down to achieve the best resale value. Why don't you use and enjoy your cars? - Are you the same ones that kept their toys in the boxes as kids so that 40 years on you might get £100 for it on the Antiques Roadshow rather than playing with it yourself?

If you think a Maserati with 50K miles is 'worthless' then I'm not sure if you or I should quit this forum if that's a shared view of the majority? - My Maserati could never be worthless because it's my car, I smile every time I drive it and I'll be sad when I change it for another Maser at some point in the future, whatever the price.- I'd be interested in others opinions.

I'm hoping it was a tongue in cheek answer, but I do agree with what you posted. I use my GT as a daily driver and will continue to. Part of me does worry about if and when I come to sell it but that will be in a few years time. For the foreseeable future I intend to wring every bit of enjoyment out of it.

Good man. - Mine is a daily driver too, hence the miles and smiles.

If the OP was serious (obviously having a bit fun), then I look forward to buying his new Levante in 4 years of average mileage for a tenner, ( nothing's really ever worthless after all), or possibly picking it up cheap in a hundred years when he's done 15k miles, just before the plastic comes off the seats. - Joke, tongue-in-cheek, calm down, banter etc.

It's perception of most and Mike made the comment very much tongue in cheek, he got the figure wrong though as everyone knows it is really the magic 60k mile crossover when all Tridents become worthless including his Ghibli so I'll do him a favour and offer him £4k like I paid for the 3200 last week and he should be happy with that! :D

Anyone who follows this forum regularly knows that Maserati prices falling off a cliff post 50k is a long running tongue in cheek comment often used by 3200 owners whose cars can't run long enough to get to 50k :)

Humour is a key characteristic of all good forums and in fact most social interactions, just look at Dems conquests :)
