Ah, but us ladies are allowed to mince aren't we?
To mince: to walk (drive) in an affectedly dainty manner whilst checking for craters.
In which case, in a moment of haste and inadvertently breaking into a flounce or chasse, should you actually catch a pothole, you may find you start to shake and possibly shimmy. Provided you don't start to crack up you'll be fine.

I'm really good at flouncing, mostly in a huff.
However, today, the thing of beauty that is my new wheel has turned up and I am a happy bunny. It is so beautiful I'm thinking about hanging it on the wall as it seems a shame to put it on the car and get it all dirty. On the other hand I am getting fed up with constantly having to pump the tyre up so I will have to scrap my arty idea and get on with it.
Now I just need some Lithium grease and my car is sorted (for the moment).:)
