I sold mine for £12.k with 70k-odd miles I think. Non-owners are scared of the high miles. However I had people breaking down my door at that money and I needed a quick sale. If it's the cheapest one, it'll always sell, I bought tre echeapest in the country and sold as the same :)

The time is right for a 465 I think, would you be after a manual? A manual V12 Fezza clad in a beautiful body at half the money of a 550, what's not to like.

Just get a PPI and be ready if the mega-bills come...

Do you mean you serviced it yourself Phil?

If so... I really don't know, I wouldn't buy it at any price unless I was sure it was a very long-term purchase as no chance of selling it on again to a non-forumite.

If its still in mint condition...passes an indie inspection.......drives well......why not aim slightly higher than you think....can always adjust downwards later....harder to adjust upwards!

Good luck with the sale Phil,

If you go for a 456, try to get a 'M' as they have most of the problems sorted....having said that the 1st series had a much nicer bonnet...bit like the 3200.

Doors also tend not to seal well and the window's whistle/leak as a result...coil packs are week on early cars too.

Phil.

I don't think it's credentials that are in question...it's just that the lack of stamps at a specialists or main dealer count against these cars - it's what the market values for any car, but more so this type of car. Your buyer can meet you and understand that you've looked after it, but to the next owner after him it's just a gap in the history. Having said that, how long have you owned it...18 months? If so, not a particularly long gap anyway - and given its mileage, someone is just going to be paying a low-end price.... and get a lot of car for the money.

I'd also sell the second wheels separately if I were you.

When mine was sold with 71k for less than £13k. It had a perfect history both miles and years, perfect paint, new tyres and had just had its 68k service at Emblem.

I still feel that that was a good price.

Mine had 47k miles and was sold last summer at 6.5 years old for £13.5k into the trade. However, it was red and manual - two negatives for resale.

All depends how you sell. The trade will crucify a high miles car but put it on PH and a true enthusiast might play.

Phil its great you have used the car and its served you well. The 103k miles is obviously the killer, if it were me, I would put it up for £10k and see what happens but I personally think I would keep it and see if I could get her to 200k miles!!!!
