I'm imagining a scene like this

The place I bought in near Manchester has that Vibe. split level bungalow with a great dark wood ceiling...The question is do I restore it to modern taste or go full Playboy Mansion and buy 6 coupe champagne glasses, and five bunny suits...(for the 5 bunnies, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,, Thursday and Friday, Taking Saturday and Sunday off as I'll have a weak end!)

That’s fab! It really needs a yellow **** pile carpet and some decent mid century furniture. I’d love a house like that, obviously without the rain, weird language and orange coloured locals.

Complete overhaul I’d say.. looks like a great place. Plenty of potential.
Looks a bit like my house pre renovation!IMG_0889.pngIMG_0877.pngIMG_0874.pngIMG_0888.png

I've seen some horrors and delights in my house hunting activitites. From ones where you wipe your feet on the way out, to the ones where they had a trinket from EVERY garden centre in the North-West without thinking of an overall scheme, to ones which where so clinical I thought we'd have to roll our sleeves up and walk round like doctors waiting for their gloves....

@CatmanV2 Split-level Bugalow is basically a bungalow on the side of the hill. Go in at the top of the hill, come out the back 30 foot down the hill but you too have droppped a floor or too.

@Bebs Full overhaul, deffo. rewire (it has 3 phase connectivity:thumb3:, needs further investigation! Won't be used for EV:mad:) Solar on the roof , batteries in the double garage, insulate, insulate and insulate, ASHP, wired network, new kitchen, bathroom/bog, might change the carpets ;) and put in a solid fuel burner (has chimney and would look good in that lounge, whilst overlooking the greatest city on earth from my full height picture window, present one is only 3/4 size) put not this year, live in first and assess what's what.
