Had a drive round north Norfolk, and a day at Holkham yesterday. Walk on the beach to blow away the cobwebs etc... After a nice lunch in the Victoria wandered across to Adnams.
I didn't realise they were doing their own whisky now.

Giving these a little taste tonight.

They do lots of stuff. Gins as well. Not my favourite, I have to say, although I still like their beer

The rye one is very spicy, nice but different.
The single malt, OK.
The triple malt is my favourite of the 3. Smooth and very sweet, great for the end of the night.

I enjoyed it, but not one you often see at least in my supermarkets

I look when I'm out, just from curiosity, and rarely see it as well...this was one I opened, sat down with...and when I tried to stand up, found that my living room had apparently put to sea. It was so smooth I never noticed that I had consumed the entire bottle...

My mother used to drink that stuff, it was the one bottle of alcohol in the house not at as risk when we were hunting free booze. Awful …

It's an acquired taste, that's for sure.

Wife just bought me a hot mulled cider after a day on the chainsaw. Lush.

Mrs C has just suggest we go wassailing in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that!
