What ya listening to now ???

Randomly on the drive home today two lines of a song popped into my head, rattled around a few times and I couldn’t move on with the lyrics!
Wong frustrated, I asked the lad (who works for me) to look up the song as I couldn’t place it:

“I don’t want to be a pin head no more.”
“I just met a girl that I could go for.”



Yes of course it is Pinhead by the Ramones. And when found and plaid; I figured why I couldn’t move on with the lyrics, I had about 70% of them right there!


Anyway it lead down quite a rabbit hole on the way home,
Bad Manners, Lip up fatty.
$ex pistols, pretty vacant
Ramones again, Sheena is a punk rocker
Buzzcocks, Ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with.
And a few others, Andy (Zag’s) would be proud!
 
Listening back to this, try as I may just cant get my head around being avidly into Dylan at the same time .............regardless its quite poignant .....I think Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin had a bit to do with it

As much as I'm Rock and Roll I do like music like this.

Dont be easily fooled Phil , Im not that sophisticated , Je Taime is what got me into exploring French artists of the time and some with a certain Je ne sais qoir and innocence about them which tickled my fancy , where as most English equivalent lasses of time seemed downright frisky little things ............oh for pleasant memories
 
Love the first two Veronica’s LP’s then they sort of went in a different direction but this is going back to what I loved about them.
