Almost every musician in the developed world claims to have been influenced by The Beatles.
In my mind. That elevates them to the status of Turing, Curie, Einstein, Whittle etc etc.

No doubt. I just think they got more interesting, not less...and wish that Lennon had had the time McCartney has had. Can only imagine where he might have gone, sonically...

The solo albums I always found to be patchy Den imho, there would be a couple of masterpieces and a lot of below average stuff. One such case that instantly springs to mind is the McCartney 2 album I bought when it came out, I’d heard Coming Up and Waterfalls which I bought the album on the strength of but the rest of the album was dreadful, I think that’s the case with Lennon’s Double Fantasy, hence why we normally only hear Woman and Just Like Starting Over.
