I've been giving this a listen a lot recently. They've been pulling down the old Packard factories in Detroit recently – very sad, and a loss for the history of the automobile. Arguably, however, it has more cultural relevance as where techno, and electronic dance music, really developed out of disco and German influences into something brand new.

And some of the formative techno records that forged the way to modern electronic dance music.
