see that they just re-released the Mescaleros albums with some outtakes/demos...? Bowie is god, to me; but Joe Strummer was my personal savior.
Only really relevant up to London Calling , beyond that they kinda lost direction, Sandinista was an awful lot of blind alleys , one would be hard pressed to get 2 good sides let alone 6 .
Combat Rock , again only really Rock the Casbah , and that was a tune the drummer had been noodling around with for years .
And as for Cut the ****, well the title says it all really .
Strummer solo effort was disappointing, 2 worthwhile tracks .
Saw The Clash 3 times In Torquay , Plymouth and Exeter. They were at their peak '77/'78 .
