So i have water pouring from my ceiling tonight in the lounge - which i track back to the bathroom 2 floors up....ring the home insurance and they ask you for your post code 3 times - just to check you are who you say you are and ask other useless ****, like i have to hand when my house is flooding - sorry rant over. Had this again this time last year - house is a potential plumbing system bomb...Now need a huge Gin and Tonic. Thank god for a day off tomorrow - down to the smoke, girls on tour.. watch out London..

Bummer Andrea, hope you get it sorted out without drowning. Sounds like at least one G&T has your name on it. Have fun tomorrow.

Grab your tools Rob and make a few extra bob for Xmas, helping out Andrea and family in the process , if i wasn't so busy i would offer myself, one more day down in Costa de Reading and then im back up here for 3 weeks before im off on holls

Of course Rob.....for a for a high proportion of the population................you may as well say open heart surgery is only fixing a more flexible type of pipe....;)...;)......the difficult part is sometimes getting at it and the knock on effects.

When its what you do for a living Frank , its not rocket science ,, you just crack on diagnose it, get on and get it done, rather like cutting someones ingrowing toe nails

fortunately no nails need clipping... had the insurance surveyor out - ok so the leak was the result of sink pipe connected to the bath one which had been slowly leaking away and rotted the floor. The bath was the final straw and pipe a and b no longer connected, thus erupted....pipe is located behind tiled boxing which we could only see what had happened by taking bath side off - pointing a mobile camera and clicking...

so new floor and pipework to be made good along with several rooms - ceilings that need decorating... any good builders?
