...By CatmanV2, aged 42 and a bit

1) Horns really do need fuses to work. No really. Can't stress this enough. Don't half sound nice now, though :)
2) Aircon compressors *also* need fuses to work. See above. *No* idea who / why that one went missing.
3) Italian supercars demist *much* faster with (what appears to be) a working aircon compressor.
4) F1 can make mistakes :( 'No, I ordered 2*6*5/35/R18s. So back there tomorrow.
</on topic>
5) My recipes for blackberry vodka and sloe gin are going to be a *resounding* success!

All in all a good day, and a Madness concert tonight.

Super

I will check with our wholesaler and see if I can get them cheaper, if I can I will post on here, sounds a good idea, saves taking all the little monsters out one at a time.

I'd sign up, Robert. If possible, you could get them in packs of uniform value, and then create replacement packs for each model, with the correct number of each value, and a few spares?

Ditto the horn fuses.
My left horn button sometimes sticks. Driven for 15 minutes horn blaring until I could stop, or fuse blows.

Try looking cool in rush hour town traffic. Guess people must think i'm really italian ;)

OK, there are two types available: The "MINI" Blade and the standard "ATO" Blade. First prices out of the bag are very approximately = 0.50 including VAT. I can probably get this price down a bit, but I will have to check on Monday. I am going to assume that an initial order of 100 of each value would be about right, then we can dish these out in kits of whatever values are best. Does that sound about right, or does anyone have any other ideas to input..??

Very jealous.

I would very much recommend Madness as a gig. We've literally lost count of the number of times we've seen them live. OK, so we really like the music (which helps) but it's just really *GOOD FUN*. Everyone is up, and dancing, and knows all the words etc etc.
Last night was as good as ever. They are playing again on Friday :)

Mini are what I have. I think you want to get the price down quite a lot cos the Halfords ones are only £0.53 each.

There appear to be 42 fuses:

30A 7
20A 2
15A 11
10A 10
7.5A 4
5A 4

So without doing *too* much math ;) 5 10As and 15As to 4 30As to 2 each 7.5A and 5A and 1 20A

Make sense?

OK on Monday I will chat to the wholesaler, we have bulk discount status, so hopefully we can get the figures to a reasonable level. I have a few things to check to make sure we are getting the right product, then I will confirm a price.
The kit quantities sound about right, the 10's and 15's are 5 of each and the rest as stated.
Does anyone have the Standard ATO Blades fitted??

Mini Blade LED Fuse Kits

OK Chaps,

LED Lights When Fuse Blown

For those interested, I have from the guidance of other members on quantity, arrived at a kit price for the following:

5A x 2
7.5A x 2
10A x 5
15A x 5
20A x 1
30A x 4

Total price including VAT @ 20% and postage = £7.00

Anyone interested..?? Let's start making a list as we need around 50 kits to purchase at these figures. Any less and the price would be maybe around £8.00 in total.
Alternatively if a kit is not what everybody wants, I could order batches of each value that you do want. I do not want to be left with loads of fuses, so please let me know and when we have enough I will place an order.

If anyone wants a few of the larger ATO Fuses, which are the normal large flat blade fuse, let me know what you need and I will add those to the order.

Cheers

Great idea, I'm very interested in some of these for the GS. I'd want a full set plus a spare or two of each (I inherited some of my mother's hoarding instincts!). I'd also like the same in the larger size for my E30. Please let me know when you're ordering and I'll find out exactly what I need.

If I'd had these a year ago when I was doing the engine conversion on the E30 it would have saved me loads of time. Splicing a new wiring loom together meant some fuses had blown and a couple weren't obvious!

Robert - put me down for 3 sets. 1 to replace what's there on an ongoing basis and 2 spares sets. For 21/24 quid - an absolute bargain.

OK Chaps,
To make this easier to follow, I am going to start a new thread and then enter all orders on there.
So catch up on the new thread.
Catman,
That's what was suggested as a kit, not a full replacement..?? Are you saying the kits should be bigger..??
I will go with the kits as they are at the minute rather than change them.
Cheers
