What have you done to your Maserati today?

Took him to Newent Classic Car show where his beauty (and clean-ness) was admired. Had to wash him on return home tho' as it had rained and he was rather muddy thanks to the little lanes he was forced down.
Good to catch up yesterday, great turnout and well organised show, the rain even added to the entertainment, except for the departure route!

Yes I’ll let you know for sure. Would be good to meet a fellow Maserati owner.

Yes they definitely have trouble with one of the businesses at the back, think the owner was patrolling the parking area last time I was there and she wasn’t happy lol! The annoying thing was in the two hours we were there, no cars for her own business / trade were parked in her allocated spaces!

Hoping to get get over there in the next couple of months so will let you know. I’ve not had a chance to stretch the legs of the new car yet so it needs it……
I’m in S.Derbyshire- let me know when you’re next heading out as it would be good to meet locals

Hi,

Ignition has sadly closed. But if we ever head over that way I’ll let you know. I run a village car club and a few of us are attending Mitcar (Alfa / Italian car day) at Burleigh House in October, it’s a great day out with good scenery and a decent array of Italian cars. We also have the occasional meet (normally NG14 area) and the odd drive out. We are actually heading over to The Motorist (Sherburn in Elmet) this Friday.

They’ve just posted this pic on their Instagram. Must be getting somewhere else ready to open.

I’ll let them settle in for a while before I try it, it was often very quiet in the Peaks, especially in the week during the day. occasionally it’d just be me, or at most 2-3 cars. Weekends were hit and miss, could be full, or could be just half a dozen.

Didn‘t mind in my current location, it was 2 mins away on a nice country road, but this is not going to be in Derbyshire I don’t think.

Shame Caffeine and Machine couldn‘t get permission for their place at Carsington Water. They still own it, but just put a manager in to run it as a normal pub for now.

Edit. Can’t get pic to attach, no idea why.

I had no idea C&M were potentially going to Carsington- that would’ve been great.

Motorist is a bit far tbh, and Friday night M1 hardly exciting.

I could be persuaded to NG14 for a meet. Have a mate in west bridgford with a Cobra who I might be able to drag out.

Yes, they bought the Knockerdown pub. The big one with camping near the entrance to Carsington Water. Got knocked back for planning on whatever they were looking to do.

If you go on website for Knockerdown it says right down at the bottom © 2023 Caffeine and Machine (Knockerdown) Ltd.

Apparently they‘ve decide to reopen it as a pub for now, whilst they appeal original decision, although reading between the lines, don’t think they’re very hopeful of successfully overturning decision.

I live walking distance from Burghley House and will also be attending Mitcar. If you let me know I'll meet you there. Would be nice to meet a few forum members in person!

I am definitely going and this year italian cars will be lined up by Brand, so not just Alfas like previously. I’ll drop you a pm prior to the event
