What have you done to your Maserati today?

Spyder off today to SI for service & MOT.
Not without issue… off trickle and backed out of garage. 4 hrs later off to SI. After a while noticed no wipers, indicators etc, etc; only things working - engine gearbox and radio and I think an interior light. Stop or keep going?

Chose the latter while watching Voltage which slowly climbed above 12.

Arrived OK - re-started the car and all was well. Related this to Ash “it’s Italian!” Discussion re trickle charging. When the car returns, if on trickle will try using a plug timer to give 12 on/12 off rather than long periods of trickle?

Is there a big relay somewhere that the ECU decides to leave off in certain situations to preserve Amps?
If mine is going to have a 10+ day slumber I use the isolater switch. If it's a shorter rest I'll attach the ctek after about 3 or 4 days just to be sure and then remove it after about 24 hours

Ordered her some new discs and pads. Quick shout out to Chris Catchpole at Scuderia. Usually they come in a little more pricey than Eurospares, but Eurospares hadn't come back to me to confirm my part numbers.

Emailed Chris 5:29, 5:35 his reply confirming correct parts, stock and a discount that dropped the price below Eurospares.

Not the first time I've had great service from him either, even when the answer was 'No'

Nope - but I now recall that you may have mentioned this before!
Eb

She is, shall we say, considerably shorter than I. Some may say this is not surprising, but she is considerably shorter than most other people as well :)

It might well help her find a comfortable position in the Ghibli (Phnarr) although to date she refuses point blank to try driving it <shrug>

Had custom Down pipes with sports cats fitted today. In words of the exhaust guy “that car sounds fu@£ing awesome” and to be fair it’s not too shabby for a 4 door saloon. Proper test comes on Saturday with a trip to Norfolk and back to see an old friend.
Next up, waiting for the big brake kit I ordered this week to turn up and see if I can confirm the pad size and order some CL pads.
