They quoted £500 plus for my Alfa GT, and in the end went to Direct Line and got it for £320.

Got the renewal for my GS through this morning, £700!!!!!!!! NO THANKS

Looks like I need to find a new insurer as it appears the Aplan boat has sailed.

Spoke to them and it appears they have had a falling our with Groupama.

Where are the rest of you going these days, as I need to renew by 1st December, was paying circa £500.

A plan really messed me around back on July when I first got my car, quoted me £550 took the money off my card and then told me three days later that the total would now be £800, as you can imagine I told them to .... off

Matt,
Give Rh Specialist Insurance a call on 01277 206911, the chap that I spoke to was called Mark.
I have had classic car insurance with them going back about 20 years now...
and I have just had Florence insured for £741...thats with ZERO NCB as I am keeping that on the QP.
On the subject of the QP, I will be changing my insurer (currently RSA (High Net Worth policy) through Michael Ward Associates)
come renewal time and transferring it to RH...no matter what they quote as I did not like the way I was treated
when asking for a quote for the 550...had to keep calling them and they would not call me back, I did eventually
get a quote with mirrored NCB, but was more than the RH quote anyway.
Regards,
Enzo.

I did have a Groupama insurance policy arranged through Quick Fit. Come renewal time I was informed that Groupama have withdrawn from the very high performance car sector. I have therefore since renewed with Royal Sun Alliance (high net worth policy) through A Plan. Although I am paying more than last year, the premium was competitive (albeit marginally) when compared with price comparison websites.

I have never found APlan competative to be honest...They have been no where near any of the other quotes I've had for cars over the years.

Based on other posts I hadn't asked them either, plus Directline doesn't quote for NI.

alot of companies have pulled out of the performance sector, as their quotes were uncompetitive; if i can help guys, register, there is an insurance request option... we have kept tabs on the conversion rates, thus checking they are still competitive. We can't promise to beat everyone as policy to policy differs greatly, but we are always on to our partners to keep in the market.

We have ours with Aviva - £370 5 yr NCD
When we insured it they mirrored the NCD back on to Marcelle's Focus and gave me 4 yrs on my Honda (just came off company car).

Been very happy with what they've quoted.

Cheers
