Black box, orange sticker? The speedo works through the body computer above the accelerator pedal or if could be the clock itself. If you have multiple issues I would look at the body computer
Your brake pedal switch doesn’t look properly seated.
Cheers Matt, seems to be working this morning, the needle looks a bit jerky when it moves, wonder if it’s because it’s been sitting in the same position over winter and not movedGot Digitek stamped on it yes
They’re quite sensitive, you’ve only got to move them a very small amount from the rest position for the brake lights to come on. Sitting slightly off and they’ll be on all the time. It’s not, does that make a difference? I thought it was just to hold it in place
That’s very helpful thanks, I had no idea. I just presumed the bracket was purely to keep it in place. I’ll have a play about with it. I bought a new one that didn’t work properly and had to take it to bits and clean the contact with some 800 grit emery. Did the same to the old one so have a spare now. There are various plugs that don’t connect to anything under there.
There is not much on the brake pedal circuit that can go wrong
Take the old brake pedal switch apart, and remove the connection to prove its not at fault, I have seen issues with those blue Ferrari switches out the box.
