Hey, could be a bargain...but then again it could cost you double the price you pay to get it in tip top condition..It looks OK but just one pic worry me...Is there sonething to hide....Also they are Alfa Romeo wheels are they not....They actually look really nice.

yes the alloys are 166 alloys. I think they were about £2.5k option brand new on 166!

The gearbox is worrying who would be the best indie to call regarding the QP IV?

Yes definitely 166 wheels.

I put a new set identical to those on the last 166 I had about 6 years ago - new price for 4 was around £600/£700 IIRC.

i am soo tempted by the car. Apparently the gearbox issue will cost about £800 to sort. Does that sound about right?

Andy - seems like you have a smaller attention span than me(!) There are 16 big pictures if you scroll down. The alloys are listed as 'optional supersport alloys', but come from an Alfa 166.

If you want to know some more about the car, read the link below. Owner said he's been quoted £650 for the gearbox fix by a specialist, I presume this is Grimaldi as they diagnosed it.

This is a high mileage example of a not sort after model. In my opinion the cost of repairing this car should anything go wrong could far outweigh the end value. I would not touch it with a disinfected barge pole

thanks

i knew this but just needs to hear it from other people! The problem is the age old with italina cars head vs heart...

It is out of the equation now as i've just bought a GT V6. I wasn;t really looking for one but spotted a beauty over the weekend which i just had to have :)

Alfa GT V6 3.2 very nice car, the last of the true Alfas, you have bought well, just make sure the cambelt is up to date, if your unsure about it being changed, just get it done again.

it's got a FSH but is due a belt change but i fcatored that into the purchase price. Exterior and interior are immaculate, only negative is tiny kerbing to to 2 of the wheels.

It is a 1 owner car with 19k on the clokc full alfa history, all key, handbooks and event original sale invoice. It has full winter pack, 18" multi spokes. Picking it up on Saturday so will post pics
