Yep still looks Gash!
You have an MX5 mate :0 not in a position to discuss women's cars. I normally share your opinion .. but on this issue. :/

Have to say- the stelvio QV looks excitingMatt, there are some great deals on the Stelvio. £346 p/m, 3 months deposit etc. Beats driving an Evoque!

I never thought I'd see two grown men driving an Evoque as a daily. Proper laughable stuff
The MX-5 is a fun, great handling roadster which has sold in millions so not every owner can be wrong, the other is a pig ugly Victoria Beckham styled WAG mobile.
There are millions of hairdressers who have qualified since the early 80s, huge numbers of Elton john fans, and since gay marriage has been legalise we can get a greater idea of cohabiting male couples and Circa 50% of the population are women, so I would expect mx-5 sales to be through the roof. If you add that to men who like the handling you are onto a winner.
Since the TV deal came though - WAG have much more expendable income and Evoque sales have soared too.
On a serious note- each to his own. I love the diversity on here. From Volvo lovers to mx5s, Elise's and BMws. One thing we all agree on is Maserati's are the nuts. Surely we can have diversified opinions on second cars to do mundane tasks

You can indeed but you still look like a lord driving it
Enjoy it, whatever floats your boat I say or in the Evoque case a tugboat.
I'm only jesting mate, there are worse places to be with a bag on your head.
Indeed, regarding the Stelvio, it wasn't available when I booked my next car plus so it was not an option but would have been.
I did nearly jump ship at the last moment for a 2.2 Speciale Giulia....but then I went and saw one and sat in it. Hated it if I am honest, such a shame.
I can see now why Dem bailed on his one.
I bought our Evoque in Nov 2015, so it's coming up to two years old now and I have to say it's been great. Okay it's my wife that uses it mainly, so it's the usual school run, Waitrose trip etc. vehicle, but it fulfils that role well. And I'm sufficiently confident in my own sexuality to drive it on occasion as well. But of course, if I'm in full-on macho mode, it's onto the Lamborghini for a thrash around the fields.
I see that some MX-5 owners try to hide the fact by calling it a Eunuchs Roadster. I've never understood how that helps
5k miles pa... hardly a drivers car then!
Pete, doesn't prevent you from doing more miles. The excess mileage will be no more than 20p p/m
Well, I took delivery of the Evoque late last night and frankly I am blown away.
I am still getting used to the basic trim exterior, which I will 'tickle' with a trip to the bodyshop to get some side skirts, exhaust trims and some colour codeing and maybe the wheels, tint the glass, but the interior....WOW.
Its a lovely place to be, full panoramic roof, light grey leather, ambient lighting and a general feel of quality throughout.
The MMI is a joy to use and touchscreen and very smart, the drive is lovely, manual box nice short shift and zero play. The power is very very good from the 2LD, only thing I can comment on is a bit of torque steer in first when you boot it when the wheels are not dead ahead.
First LR I have owned and the quality is right up there.
Smitten!
Just wait till it breaks. Which it will. And they can't fix it. Because they don't know how.
Get ready for a typical LR experience.
