Fabulous race. Button deserved the win with his measured excellence on the 'wrong' tyres. I really thought his chances had been blown by the Safety Car period but he bounced back.

I really wanted Alonso to do it, and he certainly gave it a good shot. Edge of the seat stuff all the way, literally from the first corner to the last.

A classic.

What are you saying Newton. I heard he got the idea from you being your secret weapon for the Karting. Have one waving at the back of the kart so nobody else can see where they are heading to stay in the lead. It did not work for him as he went out a lap too early.

Well yes, it was quite a brief chat I was there running the zymol stand and he was really quite interested and chatty, the only down side was that he was being jollied along by the PR dollies & obviously had time slots he had to fulfil. Quite bizarre show, spent the entire show with Jodie Marsh on the stand opposite in a skin tight yellow leather jump suit with her giblets on show. I also collected Richard Burns from the airport and had a night out with him and about 40 Porsche UK peeps on a corporate jolly around Brum... One of the more surreal moments of my life!
