Warning lights - continuing saga.

So I’ve been having the “dashboard full of warning lights issue” for a while. Battery replaced, alternator is fine, kept on a trickle charger. What happens is that all runs fine, temperature 85° when in motion, then get say into a stationary queue. Temp goes up to 90°, fans come on, stays static at that temp. After a minute or so, all the warnings come up. No ABS, No ASR etc etc. When clear of traffic, stop, switch off engine, wait 10 seconds, restart. All warnings clear, and we carry on as if nothing had happened. Any ideas?

What C2 said, I’d clean the engine earth and alternator plug first. They seem the most likely. It could also be that the alternator is being affected by the heat but works correctly the rest of the time.

I was going to say bad earth but y'all beat me to it. Try the battery connections and make sure they are secure properly too.

Look for any water ingress in the boot too around the battery area, especially at this time of year - can play havoc with the electrics

as above, water ingress in boot and around back lights. is yours a grancabrio? as they have a few more water entry points.
The gearbox earth strap can be an issue. have you had it scanned yet?
