Well, not if you're a Pirelli hater anyway.

Once again the Pirelli (P Zero PZ4, that came out last year) wins the test. In the dry, the wet, on track and on the road.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 comes 5th. (Out of 9 tyres.)

Just saying.

(P.S. There really is no need for anyone to respond to this - we've all been here many times before!)

Like you weren't gonna get replies

I haven't seen the article.
You say 'again it wins the test' but last years EVO test the Michelin won with the Pirelli 3rd. https://www.evo.co.uk/tyre-reviews/18309/best-car-tyres-evo-performance-tyre-test

Did they use a FWD car again? because that makes a fair difference too.

However, I've not tried the new PZ4, so will reserve judgement, but I don't think I'll risk the cost of changing after my past experiences with Pzeros on RWD cars in winter. ;)

I have no problem with mine and they warm up quickly. Even with my granny style driving. ;)

I’ve got PZero’s and it’s pretty hot and dry here. Grip is good but I find they track badly on bumpy roads, unless my suspension is wonky of course but with only 18k on the clock that is maybe less likely (but not impossible). Also I haven’t tried anything else on the QP so I’ll have to reserve judgement for now.

I've got Conti run-flats on the 650i, no complaints. The Bridgestone run-flats I had on many high performance BMW’s before that were a bit hard but ok. I also tried Michelins PS and they were more comfortable.

Bit of an odd tyre choice for the test in my book. I wouldn’t consider the Pilot Sport 4 for my GT and would only look at PS4S as their best ultra high performance tyre

Was it not even the 4S ? Just the 4? No wonder.......

I think they (Maser GT's) track a little too much anyway. My strad hunts over the crown of the road regardless, although quite notably worse when I have not checked the tire pressures for a while. 15k miles on mine, maybe suspension is bad too.

Had Pirellis on my first 4200 and spun it on track at Llandau.
Michelin's one my 360 and spun it at the same spot.
Each time it was the driver and not the tyres.
I'm betting if Michael Schumacher had been driving my cars he wouldn't have spun.
There I've said it :)

Pirelli's on my QP were fine in summer but nightmare in wet and cold... now I have a GT, am thinking winter tyres and rims...anyone got any suggestions for optimum winter use only?

In the winter, you can use Pirelli Sotozero winter tyres. I had these on my GT in the coldest months, and the P Zeros for the rest of the time.

On the Strad I just keep the Pirelli P Zero Corsa's on all year round as I don't use that particular car in the frost/snow.
