Unable to turn off MSP

Was going to have some fun in the work car park tonight but holding the MSP button didn't activate the warning light on the dash. Therefore I don't think the system disengaged the traction control.

The cold weather warning was flashing next to the gear indicator. If the temperature falls below a certain level, does this stop the MSP disengagement?

Can't say for certain, but assuming you held the MSP button down for 2 seconds or so, did you have the car in the 'ice' setting? I think the MSP takes a lower priority than this setting and so you might need to return to normal or sport mode before being able to deactivate MSP?

I wasn't in ice mode but did have this on just beforehand. I might need to try the car in the morning again as I didn't turn the car off and restart to clear things.
