it is aweful, it is soooooo 1980's but seeing as though i wasn't born until 93 and didn't grow up when cars like the SZ were around, then i will probably think it is ugly

Because it was different and at the time there was nothing else like it....It had caoncept car looks that no one ever thought Alfa would make...But they did and need tp be appauded for it. The car sold out very, very quickly and they had loads more orders than cars.....Seemed to remember Simon Le Bon had one.

I reckon an SZ in the flesh is a very purposeful design, not pretty, nut you know eactly what it's about, just like a 'grale.

And I will have an Aston Lagonda (series one) in my collection of random automotive ephemera for Sunday pub trips, I'll never forget the tatty black one I saw shlepping a whole family around, pure class! Again, photos just do not do that car justice.
