Let's try not to go into a war over this, please
MOT passed today (yay!) Advisory that the rears are getting close to the wears (more yay!) I am not hugely enamoured of my recent experience so have been looking at options for winter / all weather tyres.
I have 20" rims. As far as I can see after extensive trawling of the manufacturer sites none of the big boys make all season tyres in the right size.
So options:
Get winters at £quite a lot for the 20s and swap to them next winter. In the meantime get some more summer tyres and abandon hope if we get any more snow.
Get some 19" wheels from ebay and add some all season tyres (probably Continental All Season Contact), Then flog the 20"s
Get some tyres that are 'nearly' the right size for the 20"
Basically 19" are the only ones that come in the right size as an all season. I'm tempted by this as I find the 20s a bit damned hard, but that might be because they're knackered.
Thoughts? Especially experience on the Contis
TIA
