Total failure!!!

Well not total failure of the car, but complete failure of everything audio. So that means:-
No parking sensors
No phone
No Sat nav
No sound system - radio iPod or anything else
Just started a weeks trip in the car, and am outside Harrogate. I am booked in tomorrow afternoon with JCT in Leeds, but have read in the US Ghibli forum about the same problem being due to a failed amp. On that basis the chances of getting anything sorted tomorrow are somewhere between slim and none!! I am not a local customer, so there's no incentive for them in terms of repeat business etc. So the rest of my trip in silence with the aggravation of having to get it sorted when I get back.
And I was just saying how reliable the car is!!!!

Oh bu99er!

You never know, you could force them to take the amp out a stock car and put it in yours?

Sorry to hear that, let's hope you get a pleasant surprise at JCT and that it's something simple

The other option is Maserati Assistance who have to provide you with something like an E class Merc until your car is fixed.

I agree with Matt about swapping out parts from a stock car. Sometimes dealers will do that but not heard of it with Maserati.

Thanks for the responses. I spoke to someone at Maserati UK, who was very helpful, and hoped that a re-flash of the various modules might sort the problem.
I will let you know what happens at JCT. Fortunately Contigo it is under warranty, but it makes you wonder what the cost would be when that's no longer the case. As it is in addition to this issue, the in car WiFi unit needs its Vodafone sim needs replacing cos that's gone on the blink. It can only be accessed by a Dealer, so who's going to pick up the bill for that!!
Anyway more on this very frustrating problem tomorrow, and once again thanks for the interest.

Try a battery reset and give the f*cker a good kick, that'll sort it.

I've not had any issues with JCT getting in touch. I do seem to have spent a lot of time there though lol

As an update.
I found the staff at JCT very helpful, and Craig the Service Manager made every effort to resolve the problem.
The issue as I suspected was related to the Amp. JCT offered to swap it from a different car. It turned my existing unit started to work again after the tech reconnected it, and Maserati UK said they would rather supply anew replacement to be fitted by my local dealer.
So I will arrange something with Joe Macari for the work to be carried out, along with changing over the Sim in theWifi.
The main thing is it's currently all working again. Let's hope that remains the case until I get the replacement fitted.

Just take a note of where this plug is so you can do it yourself if it happens again.
