Does anyone happen to know the torque settings for the brake calipers and disks?

Okay, so found these details for the 3200. Are these the same for the 4200 / GS?

Front brake calipers bolts - 115 Nm.
Front brake disk fastening bolts - 15.5 Nm.

Rear brake calipers bolts - 115 Nm.
Rear brake disk fastening bolts - 15.5 Nm.
Rear half shaft nut - 275 Nm (with lubricated thread)

Is caulking necessary?

I will be Andrew, will be changing the front and rear disks (and brake shoes) in the not too distant future, so just getting the relevant information together.

I remembered Stuart of Maranellohouse had done his brake pads/shoes......and his lambda sensors and his coils......:)..................heres his link.....

PS The caveat being, the guy who bought this 3200 off him had to install the OEM sensors, and he also had to re-do his handbrake shoes with re-lined OEMs too!

Hi P, thanks for the info. Matt posted Stuarts brake how-to in the tech section, but it doesn't give torque settings. I got those I listed above from the 3200 workshop manual and I'm guessing they'll be the same for the 4200.

Why did the purchaser need to revert to OEM Lambda's?

The pattern types just weren't up to the job....worked for a while then failed.

Didn't spot Robbs post yet....but this from Neilwrightson.....

"I've just taken delivery of OE lambda sensors. I sourced them from Andrew Page motor factors. Bosch part number 00258 003 819 (-760) The receipt said 'Lambda sensor Ferrari various'. The cost was £117 for the pair inclusive of VAT (£49 each plus VAT I think).

Now all I have to do is to try to fit them. The Maserati workshop manual says you must drop the front exhaust section from below the turbo's to the cat. I'll try the above method first and see how easy or hard it really is."

Thanks for that P, May have been that Rob posted the details over the road, but I do recall his alternatives being Bosch, so could well be the same as you've found in Neilwrightson's post. Checking on Eurospares, that price is good, however the part numbers for the 4200 lambdas are different. I'll have a look on the bosch site and see whether that throws any light in it.

Cheers, Miles.
