Sadly did not make the front page but I am not a fan of the cartoon superhero style. Small but good article by Jason Barlow and 5 minutes of fame for my QP! I will post the actual photo when I receive it - hopefully a good one as I had to stand around in a studio all day! I did not know the Ivan Capelli input to these great cars!

Corrosion can be an issue, instrument cluster and troublesome skyhook.

Typical media giving half a story? Apart from subframes, I cannot remember reading much on any of these issues to make them headline items.

This reads like they rust like an alfasud, you will never know what speed you are doing and the suspension will collapse on you.

Would it be possible to use an Austin Allegro as an axiom for rusty metal in future? :lol2:

I also thought this too... can't recall seeing anything about instrument clusters being problematic. Then again, it's still publicity and they've picked a cracking example to take a picture of and feature :)

I think, for instrument clusters, they mean that if you reset the service indicator with the clock incorrectly set, it bricked them. Or it used to, anyway.

My first car was an Allegro 1.3 SDL dodgy blue with black vinyl seats that reclined at the flick of the handle:rolleyes:
Great memories but ultimately a complete bag of shite.

I spoke at length to Top Gear about the QP GTS, they’ve used snippets. I mentioned the instrument cluster, which can go wrong; and is a dear replacement and takes a while too.
