Hello ladies and gentlemen!
As I promised, I decided to compare each part in the roof structure from an 02 to the 03,04, and 05 (06's are not listed, so I'm assuming they're the same as 03-05).
As I did the full structure swap on my 2002 with complete success, I was curious to see if I could have saved money if I had bought just a new glass window canvass only. I can easily say I did the right thing buying a second hand assembly, versus converting my structure to fit the new glass window top.
First of all, it is possible to switch the canvass top only, but to do that, here are the parts you'll need in order for it to properly fit:

So in my humble opinion, while it is indeed possible, it makes a bit more sense to do what I did, rather than covert it from original.
I bought my entire roof assembly from a guy in New York for a good price (including shipping) $3200 (usd)
My point is, with that cost I not only have all the parts listed above, but loads of spare parts now too!!
(like the COMPLETE ELECTROHYDRAULIC GROUP - Part No. 66106400 at 3350 EURO....etc etc etc)
Just wanted to share this with everyone, as it has apparently been a long asked question.
I clearly have way too much time on my hands!!
