Thinking of selling my GS

Thanks All, I've decided that I'm going to keep her on at least until next spring as I've used another funding source for my project....in fact I've just treated her to a nice wash and polish this afternoon using Harlywax, which I highly recommend and she looks lurverly.

Woody, regarding the tyre set up I cant praise Falkens enough. The reason for going Pirelli on the front is that getting Falkens at the moment is a bit like finding rocking horse **** and I was able to source the Pirellis from a mate who was upgrading his wheels on another marque so only had to pay £100 for the pair (as new) plus fitting and four wheel alignment (using Hunter equipment at a local family run garage)....

Regards
Paul

Good choice Paul..you know it makes sense...

A good polish often makes you feel better about any car, let alone a Gransport. Good decision.

Cheers Paul, good to know. That sounds like a bargain for the Hunter alignment. I'd best get on the hunt for some Falken fronts then as I reckon I'll need some in the next month or two.

Well, I've done the deed and my GS goes today. I'm deserted the fold and changing to a CLK63 AMG as I'm doing more miles now. I've had a clear out of my garage and have a brand new bonnet badge suitable for GS/4200 that I'm happy to give to the first person to PM me. I'll cover the postage on this. Also a three quarters full bottle of Tutela Auto fluid for the F1 Transmission (not gearbox). Happy to give this away (it cost me £14), but would want this collected. Have fun guys and I'm sure I'm going to miss the passion when I get to drive the more sterile CLK later today. Ciao Paul

Hope you enjoyed your daliance and she lived up to your expectations Paul , be good that she goes to a good owner or is it in part ex for the CLK , forsure there wont be a great difference in fuel costs but the CLK will handle the extra miles that much better , thats without doubt , i have a couple of CLK's and must say that they are very reliable and great comfortable mile eaters , and the 63 will certainly give you some reminiscent sounds and of course that stunning performance , not really a drop in wheels just a tad less Kudos wish you well mate
