I have always wanted one of these for my collection of alfas :) and this one seems to be in top condition.

For rarity value the cup is the one to go for.

Not sure about the quad exhaust but apart from that its perfect.

Need to check the millage but if reasonable could be be very interested.

Whats your thoughts on this as a potential investment for the future...will it ever be worth more than it is now if garaged and looked after...could it be a future classic?

This is a very well looked after car with great upgrades but is far too much money and I believe it has 115k on the clock as he doesn't mention the miles....It is being talked about on the Alfa forum as he asked how much he should ask and lots said because of the miles no more than 5500...Some said worth more than that but I got to be honest I think thats far too much...There is another at 6k with less miles but not the upgrades......Wouldn't pay more than 6k for a good cup.........I do like the exhaust..

wow really..thanks andy what alfa forum was this discussed on. I would be put off at that millage to be honest..I looked at one for £7500 at veloces of london a few months ago that only had 38k on the clock.

If it has this millage on it im out ;(

With this millage on it, i wouldnt value it more than 5k. maybe even a a bit lower to be honest. Although engines are easy to find the whole point of the cup version was the fact that they could be a collectable in the future so any engine swaps will mark the history in bad way.

The thing about the Cup is that it was a car that was made to shift the last of the series 2 cars before the new phase 3 came in....even though owners will tell you it was made to go racing...this is rubbish...The Cup was a standard car in a body kit...a very good looking body kit mind you.......This car didn't have any more power or any other mods and for me you have to ask yourself is it worth 3k more than a standard GTV.....I think long term it will be more collectable that a standard car but thats a long, long, long way off.....The one thing that I do like about the Cup is the seats as the standard ones are terrible and you feel like you are sat on the car and not in it where as the Cup addressed this............To be honest I think a low miles standard car thats been well looked after fo 4k/5k will be just as good a bet for classic status as a Cup...

Here is the EVO review of the Cup which is does say its a great little car...

Love the black one....Good to see the engine clean and looked after...Far too many have corroded rocker covers...they look unloved then...When I had mine used to love polishing the ports and keeping what is one of the best looking 3l v6 engines ever made looking shiny.

Andy, this also seems a nice one..........Around 4k can get you a cracking standard car these days with under 65k on the clock...

Or this

This one nice but a bit more money and been for sale for a while

This one sold but bet someone got a deal as advert said must go....

Although I would love a Cup I do struggle a biy on prices when these are such good value and loads cheaper....If the Cup had more power and some suspsenion upgrades then I could understand it but it doesn't.ill love them though.

Personally, I would go Phase 3 with the 3.2, I has one and it was pound for pound the best car I have ever had. Drove the 3.0 at the same time and it was quite amazing how much more pull the GTA 3.2 lump has.

I know the P3 nose is a bit Marmite, but I love it.

You could chuck on the RAGAZON exhaust and the CUP front vented wings, job done!

Also, the ENZO wheels are a must:

Gosh that's very nice.

Missus used to have a Spider with that front end but in silver.

That's much nicer

Matt, never liked the Phase 3 but now I think its the one to have....There was a lovely grey one with low miles and red leather with tele dials that was up on Autotrader for 5k...bargain.......A month later its up at this garage for a lot more....OK they have fitted a Q2 but still thats a profit....

That looks a greast example....But as Adam has mentioned to much even with low miles....7k at a push.......Still think if you spend this amount on a GTV a Phase 3 with the 3.2 is a better bet...Thats is a beauty though.

it is in superb condition but surely you could get a GTV Cup with about 50k miles that has been well looked after for about £6500.
