Ying.

Had the dashboard light up like a Christmas tree recently. Lost my ABS, MSP, electronic suspension and CC settings. All for the sake of a twenty quid brake light switch that had failed. How can a brake light switch disable all these safety systems? Bloomin' dangerous!

Yang.

Took the Maserati to work today. Didn't listen to the radio or CD's as I was quite happy to listen to the engine. Parked up and spent the next ten hours enduring what was by any measure a cr@ppy, frustrating day. Trudged to the car for the journey home and fired her up. Not only did the stereo turn itself on, but it went to CD4, track 7; a song I haven't listened to in some time and one of my favourite Radiohead songs - perfect to lift my spirits for the drive home.

She takes (usually financially), but she giveth back (always emotionally). :D

Reckoner Andy. I know! I know, Radiohead? Uplifting?... They do it for me and they always will. Thom and Jonny carry the torch passed from John and Paul as far as I'm concerned. (Adopts foetal position awaiting incoming flak).

Street Spirt and Just, amazing songs.

I am re discovering my youth of late, going back and buying 80's favourites, past fads:

The Mission
Iron Maiden
Duran Duran
FGTH

...and the latest fad, Depeche Mode (the best of 81-96) stunning!

Next up: Placebo

Such a golden age for British music (dons his pipe slippers) "better than all this modern shite"

I have a very wide and varied mix. Classical, John Barry (James Bond'esq type music) big New Romantic fan, but I like dark goth music too, electronic and rock/heavy stopping at the likes of Megadeath, Metallica and early Queen is where I like it. Also love The Streets, it's chav and urban, but I like it.

Hates:
Rap, rap and rap!
Jungle
Disco
Club music
Pretty much anything pre 1975 and in today's charts.
Did I mention Rap?

All time favourite band, hum tough one, probably somewhere between Simple Minds and U2 (1980's to early 90's, The Unforgettable Fire, J Tree, Once Upon a time, Live in the City of Light and New Gold Dream 82/83/84....)

Yeah Black is the commercial album, a classic but there are some other gems in Lars and James's back catalogue. Sorry, no Megadeath for me, a step too far for my taste.

Do I remember you in an Iron Maden T shirt back on the past car thread?

Yep big Rock fan Matt.....................I was never an early Megadeath fan either Matt but then bough some later albums and they sort of went the way Matallica did..Bit more easier on the ears than the thrash stuff at the beginning.......Still not Radio two material though....
