Does it qualify for the thread when the Government are the joke?

‘Beer’ Starmer according to the Daily Fail and our Secretary of State for digital, culture, media and sport.

The original, uncropped picture of Keir ’milk’ Starmer and fellow Labour man Frank Dobson.

and that time that Keir attended Dobson’s funeral in 2019.

The title of this thread is very misleading. Surely it should be called 'the overly-indulgent thread of one moderator's politicial view'...?
Look at it like a dog-poo bin, MAF. It keeps almost all of the **** that no one wants to see or stand in nicely out of sight. Better that than to find it making the pic of the day or good morning threads stink. You do still get the odd one left selfishly hanging from a tree in a plastic bag, but for the most part this thread helps keep it out of everyone's way.

All it needs now is a chain flush or a man from the council to come and empty it every so often.

The difference is that this is a dog poo bin for just one dog. And it’s overflowing. I’m sure very swift action would be taken if somebody started a very right-wing thread and constantly posted on it to amuse themselves…

Genuine question/request - can an ‘ignore’ button be added to apply to threads as well as individuals please?

Unlike the Labour Party, who don't favour regicide. The Conservatives are as ruthless as sharks, when they calculate that their leader is an election liability, rather than an asset.
Radio 4 has reported that the required fifty-four letters have been received from Tory MPs, to trigger a vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister. If true, this will likely take place this week and if he loses, this vote will lead to a leadership election over the summer recess.

All sorts of talk about machinations to try to delay any vote until the by-elections to minimise the chances of a Johnson victory in a leadership vote.

Graham Brady can apparently take a bit of time on when to announce the threshold has been triggered.

But I don’t see the point of hanging around - the longer they wait, the worse the optics of a party that cares more about themselves than their country.

I started the thread in response to a comment posted by MarkMas, but am now distraught at the notion of it being likened to a dog poo bin. I had hoped that in my twilight years it might springboard my literary career, but alas not, and whether I well ever again get a good night's sleep remains to be seen. How cruel this world, and what an ignominious end to such a promising beginning; it is almost too much to bear.

Talking of bears, what do we think of Paddington's performance?

The creation of said thread was a work of genius. Your art has been to create a cesspit, a ****-hole of shite away from the village, a place where turds and monsters can dwell and sacrifices made to ensure the safety and prosperity of the other threads.

Sir Paddington, incidentally. That's how good he was.

I've waited all my life for a compliment then this comes along, is there to be no end to my suffering?
